About Course

This hands-on course focuses on using Arduino and Processing to control LEDs, allowing participants to understand the basics of electronics and programming. Students will learn how to set up an Arduino microcontroller, write code to control LEDs, and use Processing to create an interactive visual interface. By the end of the course, participants will be able to design and implement simple projects that demonstrate the integration of hardware and software.

What Will You Learn?

  • Understand the architecture and components of Arduino boards.
  • Set up and navigate the Arduino IDE for programming.
  • Learn essential electronic concepts, including voltage, current, and resistance.
  • Gain hands-on experience using breadboards and building basic circuits.
  • Connect and control LEDs with Arduino using digital outputs.
  • Write and upload code to turn LEDs on and off based on input conditions.
  • Familiarize yourself with the Processing programming environment.
  • Create simple graphical interfaces to enhance user interaction.
  • Establish serial communication between Arduino and Processing.
  • Understand how to send and receive data between the two platforms.
  • Design and implement your own LED control projects using Arduino and Processing.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to troubleshoot and debug projects.
  • Create interactive GUI elements such as buttons and sliders in Processing.
  • Implement user controls to manipulate LED behavior in real-time.
  • Work collaboratively on group projects, sharing ideas and solutions.
  • Present your projects effectively, discussing the design process and technical challenges.
